Richten Energy shortlisted for Vision ESG Awards, advancing net-zero building solutions
Richten Energy 29
Richten Energy has been shortlisted for the 22nd Vision ESG Awards in the “Outstanding Solution – Low Carbon Operations” category for small and medium-sized enterprises, recognizing its colored PV circular façade solution.
The Vision ESG Awards, established in 2005, is one of Taiwan’s leading sustainability benchmarks. This year, 142 companies submitted 239 proposals, with 86 companies and 129 projects selected for the next evaluation stage.

Richten Energy’s colored PV circular façade solution transforms building surfaces into energy-generating systems while enhancing urban aesthetics, supporting net-zero buildings and ESG-driven sustainability.
Buildings as a critical frontier for decarbonization
As the global transition to net zero accelerates, buildings are increasingly recognized as a key area for decarbonization. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the building and construction sector accounts for approximately 32% of global energy consumption and 34% of carbon emissions.
This shift highlights the growing importance of integrating energy, sustainability, and urban development into building systems.
From building surfaces to energy assets
Richten Energy’s shortlisted solution focuses on transforming building façades into energy-generating assets through colored PV coating technology.
By integrating renewable energy generation into building surfaces, the solution enables buildings to simultaneously achieve:
On-site energy generation
Carbon reduction
Improved ESG performance
Enhanced visual integration with surrounding environments
This approach addresses a key challenge in the market: how to balance energy performance with design and site-specific requirements.

Richten Energy’s colored PV modules integrate cultural patterns, material textures, urban landscapes, and artistic design into solar panels, enabling façades to deliver both energy performance and visual value.
Enabling measurable and scalable ESG outcomes
The recognition reflects a broader shift in how sustainability is evaluated—not only as a concept, but as a system that must be measurable, deployable, and financially viable.
Richten Energy’s solution demonstrates how building upgrades can move beyond energy efficiency to become integrated systems that deliver both environmental and economic value.

Richten Energy CEO Weili Hsueh introduces the concept of energy-generating façades at a net-zero city exhibition, highlighting the future role of buildings as key infrastructure in urban energy transition.
Accelerating the transition to net-zero buildings
As policy frameworks and market expectations continue to evolve, net-zero buildings are becoming a central focus of both public and private sectors.
Richten Energy will continue to advance colored PV solutions that enable buildings to transition from energy consumers to energy producers, supporting long-term sustainability and urban transformation.
