From signing a cooperation agreement with Kansas Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland on 29 May, to participating in exchanges at Nasdaq in New York, and now being selected to exhibit at VivaTech in Paris, Richten Energy continues to expand its presence in the global net-zero building market through its coloured photovoltaic façade technology. The company is also set to compete in the Economic Daily News Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Final on 24 June.
Taiwanese net-zero building innovator Richten Energy Co., Ltd. has continued to strengthen its international presence. Shortly after arriving in Paris, France, to prepare for VivaTech 2026 (17–20 June) and a series of international start-up networking events, the company received encouraging news from Taiwan: it had been honoured with the Outstanding Enterprise Award at the 23rd National Brand Yushan Awards.
For Richten Energy, which will compete in the Economic Daily News Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Final on 24 June, the award represents more than external recognition of its brand. It also provides further momentum for the company's technological innovation, international market expansion and commercialisation strategy.

Richten Energy has maintained strong momentum over the past month. On 29 May, the company signed a Letter of Intent with David Toland, Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce of the State of Kansas, establishing a foundation for introducing Taiwan's coloured photovoltaic façade technology to the U.S. market. The company then travelled to New York to participate in programmes organised in collaboration with the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, engaging with international entrepreneurship networks and gaining first-hand exposure to the global capital markets.
Following its return to Taiwan, the team immediately departed for France after being selected by the Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) to exhibit at VivaTech 2026. At the exhibition, Richten Energy presented its core vision, "Every Façade Can Become a Net-Zero Asset," demonstrating to international audiences how building façades can be transformed into a new generation of energy assets for net-zero cities.
Richten Energy has long focused on building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and coloured photovoltaic façade applications. Its core mission is to transform conventional building façades into green energy assets capable of generating electricity, reducing carbon emissions, supporting ESG disclosure and creating long-term operational value. As rooftop space becomes increasingly limited in high-density urban environments, building façades, curtain walls, public buildings, commercial developments and urban regeneration projects are expected to become key applications for the next generation of distributed energy systems and net-zero buildings.

The coloured photovoltaic façade solution showcased at VivaTech integrates renewable energy generation, architectural aesthetics, brand identity, ESG disclosure and circular economy principles into a single building solution. It transforms building façades from conventional exterior surfaces into urban infrastructure capable of generating clean energy while delivering measurable carbon reduction benefits. Through the European exhibition platform, the company aims to connect with architects, property developers, photovoltaic system providers, net-zero city initiatives and corporate ESG partners, expanding the international adoption of Taiwan's innovative technology.
Mr. Weili, Founder and CEO of Richten Energy, said:
"Receiving the National Brand Yushan Award at this moment is particularly meaningful. Our team had just arrived in Paris to introduce Taiwan's coloured photovoltaic façade technology to the international market when we received this recognition from Taiwan. This is not the finish line; rather, it is a reminder that if Taiwanese start-ups continue to deepen their technology and build real market opportunities, they have every chance of progressing from demonstration projects to the global stage."
He added that Richten Energy's mission extends far beyond developing a single photovoltaic product. Instead, the company seeks to address the challenges of urban space, architectural aesthetics and energy infrastructure within the global transition to net-zero cities.
"When people think of solar energy, they usually think of rooftops. However, as available rooftop space becomes increasingly limited in modern cities, building façades should become the next frontier for renewable energy. At Richten Energy, our goal is not simply to mount solar panels on walls, but to transform building façades into valuable urban energy assets."

Receiving the Outstanding Enterprise Award at the National Brand Yushan Awards carries three important meanings for Richten Energy.
First, it strengthens brand trust. For a start-up, technological innovation is only the beginning. The ability to be understood by the market, potential partners and external evaluation mechanisms is essential to moving from research and development to commercialisation. Recognition from the National Brand Yushan Awards provides Richten Energy with clear external endorsement in terms of corporate image, brand credibility and market communication.
Second, it validates the market value of net-zero buildings. Cities around the world are facing shared challenges in energy transition, building decarbonisation and limited urban space. Transforming existing buildings into distributed energy assets has therefore become an important global trend. Richten Energy’s coloured photovoltaic façade solution extends solar technology beyond rooftops and into building façades, while integrating architectural aesthetics, ESG disclosure and site-based operations into a comprehensive building solution.
Third, it supports the company’s international expansion. From signing a Letter of Intent with representatives of the State of Kansas on 29 May, to engaging with international networks at Nasdaq in New York and showcasing its technology at VivaTech in Paris, Richten Energy is building a growth pathway that connects technology validation in Taiwan with international partnerships and market deployment. This pathway will also serve as an important foundation as the company prepares for the Economic Daily News Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Final on 24 June.
