Transforming Building Façades into Energy Assets
As global technology exhibitions increasingly focus on AI and deep tech, Join It Sustainable Tech Co., Ltd. stood out at InnoVEX 2026 by showcasing a new vision for sustainable buildings: power-generating façades. The company presented its coloured photovoltaic technology, façade-integrated power generation and net-zero building solutions, demonstrating how conventional building exteriors can be transformed from passive building elements into urban energy assets that combine architectural aesthetics, renewable energy generation, carbon reduction and corporate ESG value.
Throughout the exhibition, the Join It Sustainable Tech stand attracted representatives from Taiwan's start-up support organisations, regional entrepreneurship programmes, industry leaders and international visitors. Through displays of coloured photovoltaic panels, real-world façade applications and exhibition themes including "Net Zero by 2050" and "Negative Carbon, Positive Impact", the company demonstrated how building façades can become the next major platform for renewable energy generation as rooftop space becomes increasingly limited and urban building density continues to grow.
Join It Sustainable Tech was also selected as one of the Top 15 finalists in the InnoVEX 2026 Pitch Contest, standing out among start-ups from around the world and representing Taiwan's net-zero building and coloured photovoltaic technologies on the international investment stage. The company noted that the real value of coloured photovoltaics extends beyond electricity generation. By transforming solar panels from engineering equipment into architectural building materials, the technology addresses key market challenges, including architectural aesthetics, glare reduction, limited installation space and the growing demand for corporate carbon reduction and ESG disclosure.
Selected for the Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator
Another significant milestone is that Join It Sustainable Tech has recently been selected as one of the resident start-ups in the fourth cohort of the Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator Programme, organised by the Taoyuan City Government Youth Affairs Bureau. This achievement marks another important stage in the company's growth and makes its appearance at InnoVEX 2026 a tangible demonstration of how Taoyuan's start-up ecosystem is helping innovative Taiwanese companies expand into international markets.
Hou Chia-Ling, Director General of the Youth Affairs Bureau, Taoyuan City Government, said that the Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator Programme continues to support start-ups with innovative technologies, strong market potential and international growth ambitions, helping them accelerate their business development.
She noted that Join It Sustainable Tech's application of coloured photovoltaic technology to net-zero buildings and urban energy solutions closely aligns with Taoyuan's commitment to promoting youth entrepreneurship, green technology and international collaboration. The company's achievements also demonstrate the ability of Taoyuan's start-ups to grow from local innovation into globally competitive businesses.
Looking ahead, the Youth Affairs Bureau will continue to leverage the resources of the Skyline Accelerator Programme to help more Taoyuan start-ups connect with industry partners, investors and overseas markets, enabling innovative technologies to become a driving force behind the sustainable transformation of cities.

During the visit, he learned how Taiwan's home-grown innovation is addressing the challenges of limited urban renewable energy generation, corporate ESG transformation and the growing demand for net-zero buildings. The visit also highlighted the Administration's continued efforts to support Taiwanese start-ups in expanding into international markets. (Photo courtesy of Join It Sustainable Tech.)
Innovative Energy Solutions Driving the Net-Zero Transition
Mr. Weili, Founder of Join It Sustainable Tech, said:
"Taiwan is not short of sunshine; what we need are new forms of renewable energy generation that cities are willing to embrace. Beyond rooftops, building façades will become the next key frontier. When every wall can combine architectural beauty, renewable energy generation and carbon reduction, cities will no longer be merely consumers of energy—they can be redesigned as distributed energy systems."
From exhibiting in the Taiwan Start-up Pavilion, to presenting on the InnoVEX international Pitch Contest stage, and now being selected for the Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator Programme, Join It Sustainable Tech is taking its coloured photovoltaic technology beyond technical demonstrations and into public-sector initiatives, commercial applications and international markets.
For Taoyuan, this represents far more than the addition of another accelerator resident. It provides a compelling example of how youth entrepreneurship, green technology, net-zero urban development and international market opportunities can be successfully connected through a single innovative start-up.
