Richten Energy Expands into European Market: Colored PV Facades to Debut at VivaTech

Richten Energy Selected for TTA x VivaTech 2026

Richten Energy has been selected for the first cohort of the TTA x VivaTech 2026 delegation, joining a group of Taiwanese innovation companies preparing to engage with the European market. Supported by Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) under Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council, the team will travel to Paris, France, to connect with European corporations, investors, and the global innovation ecosystem.

The selection comes as global attention continues to focus on the energy transition, net-zero buildings, and the role of cities in accelerating decarbonization.

Redefining Urban Facades as Energy Interfaces

Mr, Weili Hsueh, CEO of Richten Energy, emphasized that the future of urban energy transition extends far beyond rooftops. He noted that Richten Energy’s goal is to transform underutilized building facades into energy interfaces that are visually compatible with urban environments, supported by policy, and scalable across international markets.

By integrating colored solar PV technology into building facades, Richten Energy aims to expand the role of urban architecture from passive structures into active contributors to renewable energy generation.

Rigorous Selection as an Accelerator

During the TTA selection process, Hsueh said the judges challenged the team with direct questions about the viability of its business model, scalability, and ability to move from demonstration projects to standardized, export-ready solutions.

He described the rigorous review as a valuable accelerator, helping the team sharpen its growth roadmap and international market-entry strategy before expanding overseas.

Strengthening International Expansion Through Global Platforms: From Paris to Nasdaq

In addition to VivaTech, Richten Energy is strengthening its international presence through the Asia Innovation Hub (AIH) and the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. These connections provide the company with strategic insights into U.S. market entry, capital strategy, IPO pathways, and ecosystem integration, supporting its broader international expansion strategy.

Future Outlook: Scaling Proven Solutions

Building on its project experience in Taiwan, Richten Energy plans to use TTA and VivaTech as a springboard into the European market. In its next phase, the company aims to deploy colored PV facades on public buildings, schools, commercial offices, and urban renewal projects in high-density cities across Europe and the United States.
