Global Renewable Electricity Initiative RE100 Joining RE100 Marks a Key Step Towards Net-Zero Emissions for Companies Conducting Carbon Inventories

RE100 is a global renewable electricity initiative launched in 2014 by the Climate Group in partnership with CDP, with the aim of encouraging companies worldwide to source 100% renewable electricity. As of October 2023, 112 companies worldwide had joined RE100, including 19 companies from Taiwan.

Companies conducting greenhouse gas inventories that join RE100 are required to make a public commitment setting out a timeframe for achieving 100% renewable electricity across their global operations and to report their progress to RE100 annually.
